Henri Schmid, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
With his cutting-edge training techniques and knowledge of corrective-exercise, Henri is a much sought-after coach for the casual, serious and professional athlete. Whether at the top of your game or recovering from injury, Henri will work with you to help you realize your own personal best. He assists athletes of all ages and fitness levels – juniors, week-end warriors and professional competitors – in achieving their highest level of performance in a variety of sports and overall physical health. He is best known for his extensive work with elite tennis players and golfers.
While continuing education, experience and equipment are, of course, necessary for everyone’s training regimen, it’s been shown that most people won’t continue their work-out regimen if it’s not enjoyable. Henri’s sense of humor, knowledge of nutrition and physiology and his caring demeanor keep his clients energized and coming back to the gym. They actually look forward to working out at North Shore Elite Performance; many of Henri’s clients have been training with him for over ten years.
Henri Schmid, Director of North Shore Elite Performance, located at the College Park Athletic Club in Bannockburn, Illinois, has been assisting Chicago-area residents achieve their optimal physical well-being for more than 12 years. His certifications include:

Jason Irwin. MA, CSCS
Jason graduated from Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Youth Ministries. He played basketball all four years of college and was a two time NCCAA All-American, as well as the ACCA All-American. Jason was also the conference Player of the Year his senior year. He holds the single season and career scoring, rebounding, blocked shots and assists record at Emmaus.
Jason then went on to receive his Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University. While studying at Trinity, Jason was the assistant Men’s Basketball Coach for three years. Now, in addition to training, Jason is the Junior Varsity Men’s Basketball Head Coach and the Varsity Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach.
In the past, Jason has volunteered his summers working at the Lake Geneva Youth Camp and Conference Center in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. While there, he served as the recreation staff supervisor and the college staff supervisor.
Joey Drenik. BS, CPT
Joey graduated from Trinity International College with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Wellness Management. Athletics and staying physically active have been an important part of Joey’s life. He has always enjoyed the competition that athletics and fitness cultivate. Joey has been active in baseball, men’s softball and fitness. He has set high goals for himself either on the baseball diamond or in the weight room and persistently strives to achieve them. His desire as a trainer is to instill that competitive nature in the individuals he trains and to see them reach their personal goals. Joey enjoys working with individuals of all skill levels and ages. He believes that with commitment, discipline and hard work, every goal is attainable. His approach to health and fitness is to keep training simple, while focusing on improving functional movement.
Laura Weiner. BS. CSCS
Laura has always been passionate about fitness, stemming from her early years as a competitive athlete. Now, she strives to be as physically active as she can. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University has provided her with the tools and knowledge necessary to be a successful trainer. Laura believes in making individualized programs that cater to each person’s needs and wants. Whether your goal is to improve strength, muscular endurance, anaerobic power, aerobic endurance or simply to get in better shape, Laura can provide you with the tools needed to succeed. She understands that becoming physically active can be a challenge, but believes that by working together you can overcome those inevitable barriers that each person is bound to face. Physical activity is extremely important for your health and getting in the habit now with help you in the long run.
Jill Bachochin. BS, ACE, USPTA-P1.
Jill Bachochin graduated from Eastern Illinois University where she competed on a Division I tennis scholarship. As a certified ACE Personal Trainer and USPTA-P1 tennis teaching professional at CPAC, Jill strongly believes that personal training should be an integral part of the tennis player’s fitness routine. She also holds certification in USTA Level 1 Sport Science and specializes in off-court tennis agility/footwork conditioning and strength training, as well as knowledge in lumbar spine strengthening and ankle sprain/strain restoration. Jill has 19 years of tennis/fitness/coaching experience working with top athletes at the University of Iowa, Boise State University, along with top sectional and nationally ranked juniors at the USTA/Missouri Valley Section Area Training as the Director of Junior Competition. Previously, Jill has trained members at North Shore Racquet Club, as well as Lake Forest Hospital Health Center. She is very passionate about overall health and wellness, as well as educating, motivating and bringing clients’ fitness to the next level to maximize overall performance.
